STF Stockholm/af Chapman & Skeppsholmen Vandrarhem

The ship Af Chapman is undergoing renovations from October 2022 to December 2025. During this period, you are welcome to visit the Hantverkshuset on land, which remains open as usual.

Located centrally with beautiful surroundings and views of Gamla Stan and the Royal Palace, STF af Chapman & Skeppsholmen offers a unique stay. Accommodation is available either in the comfortable Hantverkshuset or aboard the three-masted full-rigged ship Af Chapman. Here, world travelers, business guests, backpackers, and families from all nationalities come together.

A bus stop is just 100 meters from the hostel, and the metro and archipelago boats are a 10-minute walk away, giving you excellent opportunities to explore the Stockholm region. Popular attractions like Skansen, Gröna Lund, the ABBA Museum, the Vasa Museum, and Cirkus are easily accessible via the Djurgården ferry. Or take a stroll to Gamla Stan to discover the Royal Palace, the charming Västerlånggatan, or the Nobel Prize Museum.

On Skeppsholmen, you’ll also find the Moderna Museet, ArkDes, the Toy Museum, restaurants, and Skeppsholmen's unique flora and fauna.

Our own Café Skeppsholmen is open year-round from 12:00 to 20:00 (hours may vary seasonally). We serve food, delicious snacks, and beverages, which you can enjoy on our sunny outdoor terrace with a stunning view.

• The reception, open 24/7, is in Hantverkshuset.

• Breakfast is served in Hantverkshuset on weekdays from 7:00 to 10:00 and on weekends from 7:30 to 10:30 (hours may vary seasonally). The breakfast is Continental standard with vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free options.

• Bed linen, towels, and final cleaning are included in all prices.

• For information and booking of accessible rooms, please contact reception.

Additional details:

• We do not have our own parking, but public parking is available right outside the hostel. Parking spaces have an hourly fee and cannot be reserved in advance. All necessary information is provided on a sign by the parking area.

• Dogs are allowed in our Superior rooms; a cleaning fee of SEK 250 per stay applies.

• Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

• STF af Chapman & Skeppsholmen is a completely cash-free facility.
