The charming little community of Ljungskile in Bohuslän on the West Coast spreads out along a bay with Bredfjället as a powerful background. The protected location in the strait between Orust and the mainland created the conditions for a very popular spa resort at the end of the 19th century, where the mixture of forest and sea air was considered unique. Try the hiking trails at Bredfjället, visit the classic Lyckornas Havsbad, the beautiful Silverfallet or book a mussel expedition out on the fjord. The hotel is also close to attractions such as Smögenbryggan with its small huts, Evert Taube's old favorite haunt on Flatön, Vitlycke Hällristningsmuseum and the place where King Oscar II carved his name into the rock. Orust with all its beautiful nature, Lysekil with its charm and all other small picturesque old fishing villages are all at a close by. Ljungskile Hotell is part of Ljungskile folk high school and is beautifully situated with a magical view of Ljungskileviken and Havstensfjorden. In the bright dining room you can enjoy the view as well as breakfast, and lunch is also served here for large parts of the year. During the summer months, it is sometimes also open in the evening. Check with the reception for exact opening hours in connection with your stay.
