Anslutning V1/Värnamo C

This trail stretches between Värnamo and Mossle, which is a few kilometers outside the city. The trail is a beautiful access trail that connects Värnamo with the rest of the Smålandsleden.

Värnamo city center

Start your hike or finish in central Värnamo. Recharge or unwind at one of the city's many restaurants, cafés, pubs and shops. Take the opportunity to visit the Rubber Factory and take part in the historical exhibition, or try out world-famous furniture at the Bruno Mathsson Center next to Apladalen. Apladalen

Adjacent to central Värnamo, the trail passes through Apladalen, which is a lush and idyllic hometown park with buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries, where you can see bygone activities such as shoemaking, gel casting, wire drawing and pottery. In summer, you can visit goats, sheep, rabbits and chickens in the park's enclosure, have a coffee in the café and buy local crafts in the market stall. The Priest's House, built in 1803, houses a museum and an herb garden with beekeeping.

The Lagan Trail and the City of Benches

The trail follows the so-called Lagan trail, which offers lush deciduous forest, beautiful views of the river Lagan and grazing cattle during the warmer part of the year. Along the Lagan there are several artistically designed benches placed. These form the “City of Benches” project, which is intended to strengthen Värnamo's position as a city of design, art and furniture. At the same time, Lagan is highlighted and an attractive and artistically designed environment is created along the Lagan trail. Take the opportunity to try out one of the benches.

Osudden

A few hundred meters from Mossle, the trail passes Osudden at the northern part of Lake Vidöstern. Here there are barbecue areas, bench tables and a bathing area with a long and lovely sandy beach. All with a fantastic view of the lake.
