Beschreibung
Just under 10 km north of Motala is Håleberget nature reserve. In the reserve you can get from the untouched, primeval forest-like nature of the slopes, to herb-rich pastures where plants and animals have survived from the time of meadow farming. From the highest peak of the mountain, 235 meters above sea level, you have a wonderful view over Omberg and Lake Vättern. At Håleberget there are two hiking trails to choose from; the yellow marked one which is 700 m long and the orange marked one which is 2.1 km long. In wet weather, it becomes slippery, and it is steep at the lookout points. Walk carefully!
The nature reserve is managed by Länsstyrelsen Östergötland.

Vägbeskrivning: Från Motala åk riksväg 50 norrut ca 4 km, ta höger mot Stora Ängseby ca 1 km, sväng därefter vänster in på grusväg efter ca 2 km. Då kommer du söderifrån. Det går inte att köra bil till reservatet västerifrån förbi Soldattorpet!
Verordnungen
Rules for you as a visitor to Håleberget Nature Reserve:
- You must not damage solid natural objects or surface formation (such as mountain, stone) by drilling, blasting, digging, carving, hacking or painting. You must not drive or park motor vehicles. You must not break twigs, trap trees or otherwise damage live or dead trees and shrubs. You must not exercise mountain climbing.
- You must not dig up plants or plant parts of rice, herbs, mosses or lichens. You must not interfere with wildlife, for example, climbing a farm or collecting invertebrate animals. You must not make fire.
In addition, you need the County Administrative Board’s permission to obtain:
- conduct scientific examination or single study that may lead to injury or other adverse effects on plant or animal life.
- engage in sales or other activities for commercial purposes.
