Kayaking ARK56
The ARK56 kayaking trail runs through the whole of the Blekinge Archipelago. There’s one joined-up…
Paddling
On leaving little Stenshamn, the route heads slightly northwards towards Ungskär and then over towards Inlängan. You will pass Öppenskär and Hästholmen before Flakskär appears. Flakskär has a lovely rocky shoreline and small cottages. Soon afterwards, you will pass Torhamnaskär and the inlet of Gåsfjärden, which gained global notoriety when the Soviet submarine S-363 (U137) ran aground here in 1981. Parts of this trail are slightly exposed to wind and weather but most of it is reasonably sheltered. From Torhamnaskär the route wends its way on through the shelter of the archipelago to the bridge between Senoren and Sturkö before the final kilometres with views over to Karlskrona.
