Description
Karlskrona’s beautiful town hall is located on Stortorget, opposite the imposing Fredrikskyrkan.
The original town plan of 1683 placed the impressive official buildings around the square, Stortorget. The town hall was one of the buildings planned but it was not built until after the town fire of 1790. It was completed in 1798 and it is thought that the architect was Thure Wennberg. The portico was included in the original drawings but was not built until 1905.
