Valuable nature
The wetland in Torsteboda is located nothwest of Mörrum and was constructed in 2020. The water surface covers an area 0,7 ha and helps prevent eutrophication in the Baltic Sea by accumulating nutrients and particles from the surrounding farmland and forestry. The wetland is valuble to the local flora and fauna and will hopefully attract wildlife such as migratory and nesting birds. It's also provides an important habitat for amphibians and you can expect to find moor frog, common toad and salamander. Next to the waters edge there is a small seating area if you wish to stay and have a short coffee break. Source: Blekinge Arkipelag
