Description

Torneträsk-Soppero old-growth mountain forest is Sweden's second-largest nature reserve, larger than the entire county of Blekinge! This can truly be described as endless wilderness. It is 120 km from the west Tip to the east Tip of the reserve. Apart from the E45 in the eastern part there are no roads inside the area. However, there are plenty of deep watercourses, vast mires, coniferous forest, mountain birch forest and ancient remains. The area is 3,371 square kilometres in size.
