Omschrijving
Torneträsk-Soppero old-growth mountain forest is Sweden's second-largest nature reserve, larger than the entire county of Blekinge! This can truly be described as endless wilderness. It is 120 km from the west Tip to the east Tip of the reserve. Apart from the E45 in the eastern part there are no roads inside the area. However, there are plenty of deep watercourses, vast mires, coniferous forest, mountain birch forest and ancient remains. The area is 3,371 square kilometres in size.
This Nature Reserve is part of Esrange protection area. Safety information is available at Swedish Space Corporation website.

The E45 passes through the eastern parts of the reserve. A logging road heading westwards leads to Järämä, where trails start. From the south, logging roads lead almost as far as the area.
