Luonnonsuojelualue
Rollsö and Rollsöflöt were formerly military areas with a ban on visitors.
The shoreline on the northern part of the island is largely rocky. There is also a small cove with a sandy bottom for swimming.
The vegetation is sparse birch woods with some rowans and wild cherry trees. The highest parts of Rollsö are over 8 metres above sea level.
The Rollsö battery was part of Karlskrona’s air defences and there were air raid shelters and barracks here during the Second World War.
The rules for the nature reserve are shown in the link below, but, for example, dogs/cats must be kept on a lead, and you may not pitch a tent for more than 72 hours or light a fire other than in a place designated for the purpose.

The jetty at Vanösund can take a few large draught sailing boats and there are places to moor on the rocks on the whole of the northern half of the island.
