The Eriksberg bridges are completed, connecting Kohageleden with Allböleleden along ARK56 for a spectacular hike deep into the Blekinge archipelago.
Many have eagerly awaited the completion of the bridges around Eriksberg. Now they are in place, with 300 meters of bridges connecting Allböleleden with Kohageleden. A suspension bridge, a wooden bridge, and a beam walkway have been built in the Eriksberg Nature Reserve, enabling a 13 km long hike between Björnahemmet on the western side of Eriksberg and the safari park entrance (Outdoor Eriksberg). Never before has it been so easy to hike close to the sea and venture far into the archipelago without your own boat.
"The bridges will become a hallmark of the Blekinge coast and will also play a significant role in outdoor recreation, nature tourism, and various businesses in the visitor industry."
The final stretches leading to the bridges, as well as across Dragsö, have yet to be fully cleared, and signage is still missing. Please show consideration for ongoing logging and clearing work and avoid the eastern section of Allböleleden on the western side of the suspension bridge. The work is expected to be completed by early March.

How You Can Visit the Bridges Already Now
You can reach the new bridges most easily from the entrance at Eriksberg. Here, the Kohage Trail begins, which after 5 km takes you up onto the first bridge, via Dragsö, and then onto the large suspension bridge.
The Kohage Trail offers a beautiful and hilly hike along the coast. Sturdy footwear (hiking boots or rubber boots) is recommended, as the trail can be muddy and slippery in some areas. This is especially true for the first kilometer of the trail, which can get very muddy when it is wet and rainy during winter. Follow the orange trail markings along a challenging route that rewards you with stunning views.
When you catch sight of the sea and Dragsö to the west, you will leave the orange-marked trail and soon see the Kohagesund Bridge, which stretches almost 200 meters.
After crossing the bridge, follow the orange trail markings across Dragsö (about 1.5 km), and soon you will reach the Boksund Bridge, which extends 100 meters straight across Boksundet. This is truly an impressive place in Blekinge.

If you want to continue to Allböleleden’s starting point in the west, there are about 7 kilometers left to the parking area at Björnahemmet. The trail is hilly and includes some challenging sections.
There is also the option to stay overnight along the trail in one of the newly renovated.
Hiking the Full Route (13 km)If you want to hike the entire 13 km route from Outdoor Eriksberg to Björnahemmet, it may be a good idea to park one car at your endpoint and another at your starting point. This makes it easier to get back to where you started.
Alternatively, you can take the train to Bräkne-Hoby and pre-book Blekingetrafiken’s local transport. This is a special transport service that takes you to a destination not covered by public transport. You must provide a specific address for your pickup or drop-off.

Now we are connecting East and West!
We hope that the future Eriksbergsleden will be an important step toward the realization of a longer coastal trailstretching through large parts of the Biosphere Area Blekinge Archipelago. The establishment of the bridges has been a major investment for our association, and we could never have done it alone. This entire initiative is the result of strong collaboration throughout Blekinge.
A special thank you to Sparbanken i Karlshamn, Eriksbergs Vilt och Natur, Region Blekinge, Länsstyrelsen i Blekinge, Karlshamns kommun, Naturskyddsföreningen i Karlshamn, and Tillväxtverket for making this possible.
On Saturday, April 5th, Eriksbergsleden will be officially inaugurated. More information and the event program will be announced soon, but feel free to save the date already!
