Blekinge’s leafy archipelago is the southernmost archipelago in Sweden. It has a large number of islands and inlets and is perfect for paddling your own canoe. The distance from Karlshamn in the west to Torhamn in the east is about 60 km as the crow flies and Järnavik enjoys a strategic location right in the middle of the archipelago.

There are lots of places to spend the night, either on the mainland or on some of the islands. If you would prefer to start or finish your trip at a different point, we can provide transport of kayaks and equipment. We also run beginners’ courses to teach you the basics of paddling a kayak if necessary. We are delighted to offer great packages full of interesting things to see and do, bringing together kayaking, accommodation and food in this fabulous archipelago.

We are picturesquely located at Pensionat Järnavik right next to Järnaviks Camping. The island of Tjärö just outside Järnavik harbour has a youth hostel, café and restaurant.

We are a family company offering a personal service and we look forward to seeing you. We developed the kayaking trail down the Ronnebyån river and have been renting out kayaks in Järnavik for the past 25 years.
