I historiens spår - söderut

The tour proposal goes on the former railway embankment, the Småland-Skåne railway, partly gravel paths and along winding country roads. Doors runs for long stretches lengthwise with the river Lagan. Start at the bus station in Ljungby and follow the signs for Sunnerboturen (green) south towards Kånna. South of Ljungby you will find Kånna mounds, Småland's largest burial ground from the Viking Age with 300 graves and standing stones of an Iron Age die. In some cases there are higher two heights with a total of 50 heights. In Kånna there is a ghost stone, a so-called Horepall. It is said to be haunted here after a girl murdered her child. Continued with the Bäck and also with the banvalles. Follow the signs towards Elinge including Nydalaleden that continue to Hamneda. In Hamneda there are a large number of ancient remains, such as large barrows from the Iron Age, church ruins from the 12th century and two rune stones from the 11th century. Plan long and longer stops in Hamneda to explore the village's history. Austria from Lagasigen is the old execution site, and gallows hill, with associated mass graves. Around the former station area, there is the Hembygd museum, Hemberg's an old general store. Continued the cycle tour in the beautiful Småland landscape towards Södra Ljunga by following the signs Sunnerboturen. In Södra Ljunga there is a museum for Per Henrik Ling, the father of Swedish gymnastics, Linggården. Continue to follow Sunnerboturen and road signs towards Kånna. At Kånna Hembygdsgård turn right onto Magnus Hagmans väg. Continue on the road towards Ljungby and follow the signs for Nydalaleden. After about 2 km lies western Kronoberg's Largest Bronze Age cairn, Högarör. Some 30 meters in diameter and two meters high. On the crest of the hill, the great cairn from the Early Bronze Age sits in solitary majesty. A saw advises on the skate in the Högarör which was guarded by the dragon. Then continue back towards Ljungby center with the help of the signs for Nydalaleden.
